Time Will Tell - The spirits illuminate twilight. Stars circle ‘round my dome. The moon is my favorite waterin’ hole and I hope it doesn’t take too much time before I find my way back home. / Jerry asks, “What’ll it be?” He sets down a coaster and hands me my drink. Timothy raises his glass at the end of the bar, and I hope it doesn’t take too much time before I find I’ve gone too far. / I kiss the kissin’ post and I caress the arm chair even though I know there’s so little comfort there. / And I know a man can do what he do and only time will tell if he wasted his life wonderin' if he’s stuck in heaven or hell. / I leave my change on the counter with a thank you note and I tell Jerry, “Boy, that’s all she wrote.” And as I head out the door I say, “I refuse to waste anymore of my time not tryin’ to find what in this world is Truth.” //
