This is a recording for WPKN, done live in my living room. We played 7 songs on the radio, but added one extra on here that we recorded just because we still had the gear set up. Buy the album, get the bonus track! These songs span the 3 albums we currently have in production. Yeehaw!

You 02:50
In a dim-lit room I shake the snow from my hat, in the glow of a candle, you sit and this is where it’s at, love. this is where it’s at. I check my coat to a hook and cut a look toward you lost in the music, you’re there, and i know, this is where it’s at some may gussy up in diamonds and pearls but i chuckle at these silly girls. others may don a fragrant perfume but you know it only clutters a room but here at the table in the glow of a wick I pull up a chair beside you, because this is where it’s at, love, this is where it’s at.

I didn’t choose you You chose me so I can still leave if I wanna You didn’t choose me I chose you but I can still leave if I’m gonna Yet every night when the sun goes down i go n put on my pajamas Tonight I choose you And you choose me I guess you can say we’re in love I brought you a steak on a paper plate over to the condiment station You grabbed a ketchup bottle squeezed it full throttle and doused it into damnation oh my oh my, how you made me cry don’tcha know that’s how my mama died but i’m still here although you’re crazy, dear I guess you can say we’re in love We sit in this house on this old saggy couch I lean over my tv tray I ask you my dear is the remote near and you tell me that you just couldn’t say but after this re-run and the dishes get done we’ll put our pjs on and we’ll each doze off watching burgers of bob i guess you can say we’re in love

I’m gonna stretch my tie around my collar, squander my last dollar on a pint of pricey vodka Take a cigarette out of the ashtray and light it up with a dirty idea Imagine if you were the rat sleepin in the pallets behind the bar on the river You can’t look this good and goof around with a lunar eclipse screwball kinda notion But if the cabby needs to find ‘imself a speedball then i guess i could get ya where yer goin just keep your eyes out the window and make no mention of the stain on my tie hey fella don’t be scared you gotta dirty rotten driver taken you around ya gonna learn somethin ya mama never wanted you to know you can learn soon enough to take a tip from the alcoholics teetering down at the pier you can take your time and ignore all the wisdom the man on the bench has to share you can kiss a made up gal on the way home together or become a man with one of the nightly women betty’s gotta get her mornin paper from the man passed out in the lightless cubby hole read all the headlines that blew around the city yesterday when folks were too busy to wanna know gotta check the weather to know what tonight’s gonna hold and if she oughtta stick around hey fella don’t be scared you gotta dirty rotten driver taken you around ya gonna learn somethin ya mama never wanted you to know ya smell that smoke? that’s the smell of sulfer if you didn’t know and now the sirens start flyin and lightin up the deals goin down in the alley but they just cruise on by, cause they’re headin downtown to push homeless folks up the road i like to keep my car clean, it may smell like cigarettes or a room at a musty motel but when i pick up a rider i wanna look neat, i like a good suit and combed hair and now i’ll get you where you wanna go, cause i’m just a driver baby, i don’t lie
